I hope this is understandable <3

Tried to do method three and it doesn't work for me (Photoshop CS 3 is what I have) so I'm trying different things to figure out what I'm doing wrong.  I have this printed out so I can refer to it and I'm following it exactly as you have it, but I'm still not too sure what I'm doing to make it not work.

This is the easiest to follow tutorial that I've found and works the best for what I need.  Thank you very much!

Hey! Sorry to answer this answer this question a bit late, and sorry I'm not the OP, but I have an explanation for your problem!
When acaraluv says 7.0 she's talking about the 7.0 update of Photoshop CS2. This tutorial was made in 2005, along with Adobe Photoshop CS2, which I think is the model this author was using at the time. I've tried method 3 as well, and it didn't turn out well for me, I suppose that's the Photoshop update's fault (I'm using CS6) and that they've changed their layout throughout the updates.

All in all, a lot of people may be experiencing the same problem you are, but that's because method 3 isn't able to be used in the same method that acaraluv used, since she's using a completely different version of photoshop than we are.

I'm not sure how to use method 3 in CS6, or if it's even possible, but I hope this answers your situation!

Omg… I've done so many pen tool tutorials and non of them go into the small little details to really get someone who is not very technical to understand what they are doing.  haha Thank you for making this tutorial!  I'm finally not entirely frustrated with the pen tool! You rock!

Method 2 doesn't work in CS5... I'm trying and it doesn't come out whispy; it looks like method 3. Did you accidentally skip a step?

Just keep stuck on the step after drew the curve line.
The photoshop disable me to use brush to do any edit on the layer where the curve line is.

Not sure if you're active anymore (this was posted so long ago) but do methods 2 and 3 not work with the CS versions? I have Photoshop CS2 and followed this and I couldn't get the lineart to look like that.
